2003 – Contemporary Minimalism

to be. It’s all about glamour now. "Never
underestimate the power of beautiful eye make-up. Eyes

suggests starting by applying a sheer layer of foundation
with
your fingertips. One of his favorites is L'Oreal
Mattique Foundation. Massage a concealer gently and evenly
over any skin redness, darkness or discoloration, and completely
around the eyes. (He likes Yves St. Laurent Touche Eclat and
Kryolan Dermacolor Light.) Layer a few coats of base where more
coverage is needed.
Medium sized very black
eyelashes are sculpted with scissors, creating a
lift to the eye. Make sure to leave the
outside of the lash much longer, as it is important in
order to make the eye look larger. Apply two coats
of black mascara on lashes. Try Maybelline Great Lash in
Very Black.
A rosy brown shadow is
applied to the lid in a half moon shape, and blended for softness. A soft matte
shadow in a pale
white/pinkish shade is applied under the brow
bone. His favorites right now are from Bare
Essentials ID line. To create
maximum impact, a stylish, full Sophia Loren brow
is then incorporated. A combination of blond brow
pencil, and a rich ash colored brow powder are used
to create a paint-like finish.
With a black eye pencil,
define the entire eye (again, building up the outside of
the lash). However,
underneath the eye, use the pencil heavily only on
the inside rim of the eye creating a look Marilyn
Monroe would be proud of.
Keep lips soft and fleshy, with a hint of a glossy icy
pale pink lip color. To achieve this look,
it helps to massage in a little nude beige foundation on
a well-moisturized lip.
To complete this
strikingly glamorous look, lightly press a soft pale
powder on with a powder puff. |
