Sandra Bullock at the 76th Annual Academy Awards
Makeup by Billy B.

Sandra wanted a "just got back from St. Tropez" look. Here’s how Billy created her sun kissed and sexy  Oscar glow.
Foundation – He used MAC’s new Studio Sticks. Billy doesn’t like to put a lot of foundation on. He applies just enough to adhere to.
Powder – MAC Select Sheer Loose Powder in Translucent to set
. For TV he loves MAC Studio Fix. After foundation is applied and powder is set, he went over with MAC Studio Fix in C3 under eyes and down bridge of nose as a highlighter and C4 everywhere else buffed on with a brush. He says, "It sets well, wears well and has lots of coverage."
Cheeks – MAC Cheek. For a dewy illusion, Billy also added a little bit of MAC Studio Finish Loose Powder in Gold really lightly. He had Sandra smile and applied it on the apples of cheeks.
Eyes - Billy chose to do a smoky look with eye shadow and pencils. He applied MAC Pigment in Tan to the inner half of lid from inside corner of eye out. MAC Bronze was used on the outer corner, blending up into crease. (The outer half of the eye was MAC Bronze.) Along lash line on top lid, Billy smudged and set MAC Smolder Eye Kohl with a dark shadow. Under the bottom lash line, he used MAC Coffee pencil and smudged it into bottom lashes. He also dabbed Tan Pigment on inside corner of eyes for a nice illumination that opens up the eyes.
Mascara – L’Oreal Voluminous in Blackest Black on top lashes only. Since Sandra has tons of lashes, Billy said adding mascara to the bottom would have looked like she was wearing way too much makeup . Billy's Tip: When you do a smoky eye, take into consideration when you put on mascara, you’re going to double the look of the amount of makeup you have on.
Lips – MAC  Babied Lipglass lined with MAC Subculture.
Body- Sandra's body was make up with Studio Sticks and set with MAC Select Sheer Loose Powder. Billy dusted over this with MAC Bronze powder. When Billly does a dewy look he believes it’s always better to work with sheen powders than wet products. "Sandra left me two and half hours before the show. You need low maintenance products."

Samantha Morton at the 76th Annual Academy Awards
Makeup by Jo Strettell/Cloutier Agency
To create Samantha’s smoky eye and pale lip Oscar look:
Foundation – Stila Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer in Light
Concealer – Amazing Concealer in Extra Light which Jo says is her absolute favorite concealer. She used it sparingly to cover up minor imperfections on Samantha’s flawless skin.
Cheeks –
Stila Cheek Color in Rose was applied to the apples of Samantha’s cheeks. Jo chose a powder blush instead of cream because it needed to last the evening without any touchups. When applying blush, Jo recommends: “Apply color to the apples of cheeks in a circular motion and finish off by flicking wrist up toward the temples.”
Eyes – Stila's new loose powder in a pot that will be coming out for Spring. (It doesn't have a name yet, but she used the grey.) Jo pressed a flat spatula-type brush into the powder then dabbed it on her hand to press off any excess. She put a tissue under Samantha’s eye as she pressed the color into the lashes and the whole lid of the eye in a half-moon shape. With a smaller brush she painted underneath the eye and pressed the powder into the skin. Then she took a clean short brush and gently blended the color into the socket of the eye to soften the line and diffuse the color.
Eye liner-
With a lip brush, Jo painted the Stila Smudge Pot in Grey into lashes and dragged the color half way up the lid. After smudging it into place, she dragged the color up a bit higher so you don’t see joins between the liner and shadow colors. She applied a Kohl liner in Black along top and bottom of inner rims.
Mascara – Jo curled lashes then applied tons of Amazing Concealer mascara in Black. Then she dipped a brush into her Black Stila Smudge Pot and poked color between the top and bottom lashes.
Lips – Stila Olivia lip color with Stila Cinnamon Lipglaze on top of it. No Liner.
