Sandra
Bullock at the 76th
Annual
Academy
Awards
Makeup by Billy B.
Sandra wanted a "just got back from St. Tropez" look.
Here’s how Billy created her sun kissed and sexy Oscar
glow.
Foundation – He used MAC’s new Studio Sticks. Billy
doesn’t like to put a lot of foundation on. He applies just
enough to adhere to.
Powder – MAC Select Sheer Loose Powder in Translucent to
set. For TV he loves MAC Studio
Fix. After foundation is applied and powder is set, he went over
with MAC Studio Fix in C3 under eyes and down bridge of nose as a
highlighter and C4 everywhere else buffed on with a brush. He
says, "It sets well, wears well and has lots of
coverage."
Cheeks – MAC Cheek. For a dewy illusion, Billy also added
a little bit of MAC Studio Finish Loose Powder in Gold really
lightly. He had Sandra smile and applied it on the apples of
cheeks.
Eyes - Billy chose to do a smoky look with eye shadow and
pencils. He applied MAC Pigment in Tan to the inner half of lid
from inside corner of eye out. MAC Bronze was used on the outer
corner, blending up into crease. (The outer half of the eye was
MAC Bronze.) Along lash line on top lid, Billy smudged and set MAC
Smolder Eye Kohl with a dark shadow. Under the bottom lash line,
he used MAC Coffee pencil and smudged it into bottom lashes. He
also dabbed Tan Pigment on inside corner of eyes for a nice
illumination that opens up the eyes.
Mascara – L’Oreal Voluminous in Blackest Black
on top lashes only. Since Sandra has tons of lashes, Billy said
adding mascara to the bottom would have looked like she was
wearing way too much makeup
. Billy's Tip: When you do a smoky eye, take into
consideration when you put on mascara, you’re going to double
the look of the amount of makeup you have on.
Lips – MAC Babied Lipglass lined with MAC
Subculture.
Body- Sandra's body was make up with Studio Sticks and set
with MAC Select Sheer Loose Powder. Billy dusted over this with
MAC Bronze powder. When Billly does a dewy look he believes it’s
always better to work with sheen powders than wet products.
"Sandra left me two and half hours before the show. You need
low maintenance products."
