Director Paul Thomas Anderson wanted Watson's character to have a nice sheen to her skin. Tina Roesler Kerwin—who counts this as her 3^rd PT Anderson film (Boogie Nights, Magnolia)—delivered just that. By using products with light-reflecting properties, she gave Watson’s skin a radiant glow.
Prep – Estee Lauder Idealist Skin Refinisher which Tina says, “Instantly smoothes skin’s surface.”
Foundation – Bobbi Brown Foundation stick #2 mixed with BeneFit High Beam.
Concealer – YSL Touché Eclat
Powder – Prescriptives Soft Powder Phosphorescent from the Magic line
Blush – Stila Convertible color in Peony applied to apples of cheeks.
Eyes – MAC Santa Fe, Wedge and Fade eye shadows. Lined with MAC Liquid liner in Laser and Black. Black was applied thinly along lash line along top and bottom lashes and Laser was applied in a thicker line along the top.
Brows – Estee Lauder Natural Brow Filler
Mascara – Shu Uemura mascara in Black. For the date scene, she wears a few black individual lashes.
Lips – BeneFit Bentint mixed with Guerlain Terracotta lipstick to give lips a really natural “just bitten” look. Topped with Stila Lip Glaze in Peach.
