In Music and Lyrics, Drew Barrymore plays Sophie Fisher, a free spirit who comes up with lyrics for 1980s has-been Alex Fletcher ( Hugh Grant). “We didn’t feel as though she were the type of girl who would get gussied up every day,” says make-up artist Debra Ferullo. “For example, Sophie’s nail polish was never perfectly done. We did it very quickly so that it would appear as if she did it herself.” Likewise, her make-up is perfectly clean and pretty in this photo, but she doesn’t look like a glamour team follows her around.

Skin care: La Mer’s The Concentrate; Crème de la Mer; Clarins Advanced Extra Firming Eye Contour Cream; Amore Pacific’s Skin Energy Hydration Delivery System.
Foundation: Clé de Peau Teint Naturel Crème B10. “Drew has amazing skin,” says Ferullo, “so there was no reason to put foundation all over her face, so we only used it in certain areas.”
Concealer: Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer in Fair mixed with Medium Beige.
Powder: Shu Uemura Face Powder Sheer in Colorless. Powder was used only on Barrymore’s forehead and around her nose.
Cheeks: For glow on the cheekbones, Lancôme’s Petite Bohême in Plume du Poète
Eye shadow: Clarins Soft Cream Eye Colour in No. 02 (Gold), No. 07 (Pink), and No. 06 (Brown) on the top lid. Close to the bottom lashes, she used a powdered, taupe-colored shadow by Yves Saint Laurent. For “a slight bit of sparkle” on the inner corner of Barrymore’s eyes, Ferullo used Lancôme’s La Poudre Aux Yeux in a limited-edition silver color. Ferullo didn’t use any eyeliner.
Eye liner: MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack.
Brows: Ferullo lightly applied Armani’s Smooth Silk Eye Pencil in #1, a taupe color, blending it into the brows with a brush.
Mascara: Lancôme Hypnôse in Black.
False lashes: None
Lips: Stila Clear Color in Plum, topped with Lancome’s Juicy Tubes in Sweet Raisin.

Eyes- Skin Market Cookie Dough and Urban Decay Midnight Cowboy all over eye. I Nuovi Clay in crease to contour the eye.
Eye Liner- Versace V-2002 (brown liner)
Mascara- Anna Sui in Black
Lips- Delux High Gloss in Amber

Base- Clinique Super Fit Make-Up in Neutral 05 mixed with
I Nuovi Face Veil in Gold
Cheek- Delux Flush Stick in Pink on apples of cheek.
Cargo Tonga as a contour under cheek bones
Powder- Paula Dorf powder in Vanilla 
Eyes- Cargo Babylon is applied to lids only. Urban Decay Speed is gently applied over the Cargo color. Kimberly brushes Fairy by I Nuovi from the lid to the brow (lightly over the blues) and above the brow. To get the look, remember to keep the blue on the lid and under the eye (close to lash line). For under the eye, apply the color from inside corner of eye to middle.
Eye Liner- Urban Decay Liquid liner in Radium (blue)
Lashes- False lashes with Urban Decay Radium (blue) mascara on all the lashes.
Lips- Delux Riley Gloss
Nails- Delux Tempter nail polish
Body- Dance Proof ELO 21. Scarlet Pixie Dust in Sherbert on chest
